Howell Main Street is a program of the City of Howell Downtown Development Authority. The downtown relies on numerous volunteers to serve on Committees and volunteer for events and other tasks. Click on the video below to see what downtown's are all about!
Of course, you're already here, so you ALREADY know the power of Downtowns!
Howell Main Street is currently seeking committed volunteers to serve on the following four Committees:
1) Promotions Committee: Meets once per month during the day, with occasional extra meetings. Responsible for planning and running retail events and promotion, downtown promotion and marketing, Legend of Sleepy Howell, Merry Tuba Christmas, and more!
2) Business Development Committee: Meets once per month during the day, with occasional extra meetings. Responsible for business assistance programs to help existing businesses, and business recruitment activities.
3) Organization Committee: Meets once per month during the day, with occasional extra meetings. In charge of volunteer recruitment, public relations, website management, fundraising (Melon Festival), and communication (email blasts, newsletters).
4) Design Committee: Meets twice per month in the evening, with occasional extra meetings. Approves Sign and Facade Grants, streetscape improvements, downtown banners, public art installations and fundraising, architectural and historic walking tours, etc.
