Music and food combine with the eclectic vibe of Howell’s historic downtown for an outstanding summer series when the Howell Main Street Downtown Development Authority presents Rock the Block.
Scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month this summer (June 3, July 1 and Aug. 5), Rock the Block will run 6-8 p.m. and feature free, live music at four downtown venues: Cobb Hall Insurance’s patio, 2FOGS Pub, the Historic Howell Theater, and the Howell Opera House.
Also joining in the excitement will be The Great Foodini, Renee Chodkowski, with her Best Bites on the Block highlighting scrumptious food specials from Howell’s favorite eateries.

The music is free to all event attendees, but the sales of VIP passes will bring added value to concert-going attendees, as well as help cover the costs of this first year event.
Four packages will be available for those wanting to sample everything: The three-day VIP Family Pass is $100, (or $75 if purchased early on-line at rocktheblockhowell.org). A single adult three-day pass is $50; a single adult one-day pass is $25; and a one-day children’s pass is only $10.”
“We’re also still seeking Rock the Block sponsors,” said DDA Director Cathleen Edgerly. “If you’re a business owner or manager who wants to be in the center of the action, contact me at or firstname.lastname@example.org.”
