The Brighton Art Guild and the Livingston Arts Council are co-hosting the two-day Livingston Paint Out 2017, a plein air competition in which artists complete a painting(s) outdoors within a specific time period, on Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23. Participants can paint anywhere in Livingston County – from our many lakes and country roads to our charming towns with sidewalk bistros and brick storefronts. The Paint Out event is open to all artists, all ages, all media!
Artists will sign in from 8 AM – 1 PM on Saturday, July 22nd and/or 8 AM to 11 AM at the Howell Opera House. A continental breakfast will be provided as well as a list of possible places to paint and a bottle of water for the road. Paintings can be returned to the Cobach Center at 202 W. Main St. in Brighton on July 23rd between 2 PM and 5 PM.
Registration cost is $25 – You may register by calling the Livingston Arts Council office at 517-540-0065. You may also register by paying through PayPal, please fill out the artist application and mail it in, or you can mail a check with your application made out the the “LAC”.
There is a maximum of 60 participants and a waiting list will be kept. Paint Out fees are non-refundable after July 15 unless there are artists on the waiting list who take your place.
